The sunset ended with its final lights for the day when Alex turned to the pool. It seemed almost too good to be true. He almost thought that Zelda forgotten about him after what happened half a year ago. And yet, Zelda came and chose him to be a guardian, with Daren meeting with Ash for the same thing. So, it must be true, right?
When he turned to the water's reflections, it was not his coyote face, with its light brown fur and sandy red's hairfur that stared back. Rather, it was a Lycanroc, a dusk-formed one, with a spiky hairfur that's more rock than fur and spikes around his neck. And rather than one tail, he held nine, his clothes turned into a robe that exposed his chest. Not to mention how ripped he really got, with thick biceps and a torso that could grind meat.
"You see?" Zelda said, towering behind him. "You look fantastic! I'm sure you and Ash will do a great job protecting this world."
