Slice - a Thursday Prompt Sci-fi bit of humor
The day before yesterday, I was going through my 'favorites' and I just had to remark at how many absolutely wonderful artists we have here.
So... this story has been inspired by two of them. (links given) [it's a surprise to them too.] Go and check them out!

I have to admit, I had a whole lot of fun with this one, and (tongue in cheek) actually managed to get the 'Dogs of Mars' to remove their shirts.
enjoy!

Got a good laugh from this one!
I can’t help but speculate about the outcome of the toaster/computer romance: “Greetings, I am called 0gg3. I am the offspring of an inanimate household appliance and the AI it seduced. My interests include space, animal people, and Osterizers.”

'smart' is over used... we have an AI vacuum, and this morning the dogs decided to christen one of the bedrooms with large piles of poo... said 'smart' thing gleefully rolled right over it, did a couple of spin outs, and then tracked it all over the place. I am now in the middle of the clean up and it's not a pretty sight...
If I had a 'smart' toaster, it would probably have burned the house down...
fleeting memory - my grandmother had a toaster that had slanted sides. You put the bread in and then plugged it in. When one side was done (time judged by the operator) you unplugged it, opened the sides, turned your bread over, and plugged it back in.
