"Warden.. are you sure about this plan?
I mean there are good ways to fix a person's insanity but this.. this
is unethical at most even for someone like him"
One of the new workers at Arkham
says, walking alongside Warden Sharp,
holding a clipboard.
"There is no other solution I'm afraid Newbie..
''My name is Deacon''
'' Deacon then.. every doctor and every psychiatrist here has tried everything on the kooky clown, not limited to Electroshock therapy, trying
to get him to open up about his past..
and of course the patient interviews".
"I know sir but what about-."
"What's decided is done
Sharp points his finger
to the door towards the hall.
Now go get those guards to bring the
clown to room seventeen as I said.. unless you prefer not to work here''
"...Very well then"
Deacon needed the money for this job
even if it risked his own life, he signed up to be a cell guard originally..
until his wife convinced him that his job was just too dangerous
and that being a simple assistant to the head of the building was safer.
Warden sharp leads his new assistant to the door leading to the room the patient is unwillingly waiting there in.
"Remember do as the guards tell you and don't talk
to the patient or have any contact with him.. he's an expert at manipulation''
''Okay'' .
Warden Sharp starts walking away.
''Oh and one more thing... make sure they
properly restrain him, we don't need
another incident like what happened last week ".
Deacon hitches a breath, his
hand resting on the silver door.
The young man only got more unnerved.
".... What happened last week?".
Warden sharp quivers at what he could recall from that Tuesday night,
If the procedure today were a success hopefully no one
in Gotham would have to put with the maniac again.
''It's Better I don't tell you the full story but it
ended with five of our staff members quitting.''
Deacon leaves
without uttering another word.
Anything involving the Joker who he hadn't even seen in the flesh
would be a real test of his bravery.
Deacon was taken completely aback
when he laid eyes on Joker for the first time securely hand
cuffed and surrounded by five no-nonsense guards,
from what he had been told
Deacon imagined a tall imposing snaggle-toothed being with piercing pale skin,
ugly eyes burning with unholy hatred,
and a malevolent grin so sharp it could cut through steel when he smiled..
What he saw however was a calm and quiet man
of average height and build,
he did indeed have cold white skin as expected and blood-red lips formed into a sly smile
which contrasted sharply with his green hair so dark it could
be mistaken as a shade of black.
His bright yellow demonic eyes rimmed with dark shadows
gave him an air of menace no other inmate Deacon met before had.
The guards rightfully feared
for the new staff member.
''Keep your distance from this one Mr.. ''
''Deacon my name is Deacon''.
At this Joker lost all sense of quiet and
burst into the shrieking laughter he was infamous for.
''Bwwahahahahah! Deacon! hehehe! Oh what a name do they
call you Deacon the beacon back at home?''.
Deacon keeps his mouth shut, not wanting to
indulge the maniac any further and moves with the guards towards the location where Joker would supposedly emerge a changed man.
The guard closest to Joker's side soon grew tired
of his excessive cackling and remarks.
''Shut your trap!''.
He smacks the inmate on the elbow
hard with his baton.
''Ow! that was my funny bone!''.
Deacon held back a giggle.
''Something funny about that
rookie?'' Joker glowers, rubbing his arm.
''Nope, not at all''.
He didn't not even look in Joker's direction.
It was a long painful walk thanks
to Joker trying to rile the guards and Deacon up
but they eventually stopped at a room labelled, Caution.
Deacon sighed in relief
''This must be it''.
The door opens automatically.
''Time for you to be cured clown!''
another guard grabs Joker from behind and pulls him through the doors forcibly.
''You guards have gotten way dumber
if you think you can actually cure me'' Joker snarls as he was being
lead into a small room with blue walls and grey tiled floors.. and one lonely chair with an older man standing beside it.
Three guards shove Joker onto the chair and strap
his hands and legs down tightly to prevent escape.
Deacon stands on the outside the room,
guessing his job was done for now.
The five guards begin to leave,
''He's all yours doctor we will
be outside the door if you need us''.
"It's all good.. I know how to
deal with animals like him".
Joker's uncaring smile melts away.
"I beg your pardon doc I
am clearly a human being like you!".
The doctor was about to answer that remark
when another door opened up..
Joker and the mysterious doctor glance toward it.
A random man, actually a guard out of uniform walks out through the door frame.. behind him a little dog with a long fur coat and big butterfly like ears, it was most likely a Papilion, is lead out on a red nylon leash, a dog in the asylum was already
a rare sight especially one with no harness
saying it was a service dog or
something or even a guard dog.
Even the clown prince who
didn't care much for animals was shocked
That the Arkham staff would
willingly endanger a dog like this.
"What the heck is a dumb animal like that
doing in the mad house?" Joker asks himself.
The Papilion which was female
raises her ears up and looks towards Joker.
The guard tries his best to pull her attention away and get her out the other door.
"Come on girl he's not safe to be near".
The dog does not listen and
moves closer, pulling the guy behind her
With more strength then a small
dog like that should have,
Her long wavy tail wagging furiously.
Joker takes this moment to
examine her features.
Her body was primarily white with flecks
of black and dark brown- no almost red patches,
The short legs were fully creamy white but her tiny paws were as dark as the night sky,
The tail wasn't much to look at, just being the same colour as her legs
Her distinctive Large papillon ears were a light shade of red
With black spots adorning the feathery tips..
It was the face of this canine however that made him stop and stare for longer then 10 seconds..
She had what looked like a black mask shape above her muzzle.
the dog reminded him a lot of his hench girl
Even if he wanted to deny it.
Before the dog could get any closer though for Joker to fully comprehend what he was seeing
the guard came forward,
picked her up in his arms and left.. but not before uttering some parting words,
"It's almost time for Joker to go in"
Joker was left stunned.
"That.. was odd".
"Just forget what
you saw clown ".
An extra guard comes out of the same room
and gets down on one knee so he can undo the straps on Joker's chair..
while making sure he stayed handcuffed.
''Get a move on Joker you'll need
to get used to being ordered around after today is done''
he pulls him to his feet and gives the clown a light kick
to the backside to make him go forwards.
And when the mad man refused to comply..
''I said mov- Ow!''
''Heheheehehee.''
Joker was soon taken into the room
the guard and dog came from.
