Ack! Sorry for not replying sooner, I don't check this account all that often.
The "stretched out" effect is due to the fact that I'm using an ultra-wide lens (16-35L) on a full frame camera. It tends to put a little bit of a "fish bowl" effect on the photo as well (parallel lines don't run parallel, rather, they curve away from photo center).
To give an idea of how wide-angle that shot actually is...I believe I was only between 6 inches to 1 foot away from his feet-paws when taking this photo.
No photochopping done, either. Just adjusted light levels in post and a little bit of a crop n that was it.
