I work with a logistical company by name of "Fetch Package" I work primarily in the warehouse section which the only "AC" is a massive fan that only blows around the ambient outside air. It's at least in the shade
However aside from the break room/managers office. (Which HAS AC) I'm subject to all of the lovely Texas Temperatures with the added benefit of humidity
And texans do NOT like anything different (Almost Xenophobic)

As a Scotsman who owns a couple of kilts (and wears them on occasion) i'd like to point out that the gents should be wearing sporrans...
Kilts are traditionally worn with nae pants (as i do), the breeze is very welcome when you get a bit hot as the wool is very thick!
I was at a friend's wedding once and another friend left his camera unattended at a table. I'd had a few beers, you can guess what
happened XD

At the US Highland Games I have attended; dancers and athletes (males and females) are required to wear "modesty underwear". They look like biker shorts and are usually black. Typical clothing underwear like bikinis, briefs, or boxers are not allowed.
About the only ones I ever see in full regimented attire are the pipers and clan members at the clan booths or when marching in the parade of clans.
I sent Jan a bunch of pictures from a recent Highland Games I attended that he could use as reference.
