A retouching of the image from my scraps here:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4759401
I believe I improved it and gave it what was missing over the original version. Id like everyones input on this =D
Story:
Im honestly REALLY proud of this shot! Its one that I consider up there with my Trona Pinnacles pictures. I think it could be improved just that last step more with a little of the proper tweaking (namely making the center stand out a bit more). Otherwise, this shot has perfect composition and complementary subjects and colors.
Was going to take a picture of some flowers in this little garden while my friend got her horse all set up. I hear a humming noise and out pops this hummingbird not 3 feet from me!
It darts around a few times checking me out, then just goes back to feeding.
OMG! What an opportunity! Snap snap...damn! My ISO is set to 100! Too many button pushes to set it to auto. Moreover, the cameras autofocus had no chance of keeping up. I had to manually focus while this little speed demon darted around.
What I did: crop, tweaked contrast/brightness, hummingbird was quick masked and brightness boosted, some of the shadow, mid and highlight tones were played with, and finally a yellow filter.
Yea, I did a lot to this one XD I worry it looks a bit too over-processed now, but I think its better than the one now in my scraps.
Wallpaper res available.
