At least twice a week, Xuesong will travel up the mountains to a particular flat spot and meditate. They only meditate when it’s snowing though, so sometimes they’ll cause a small blizzard and just sit in the middle of it. Typically, they’ll actually sit on the ground, but from time to time they’ll use their tail as a way of maintaining a more grounded headspace (ironic, isn’t it?). It also highlights why their most commonly used nickname is literally “Long Tailed Macaque”, though with how often they use it, one could easily mistake them for a spider monkey instead. Xuesong will generally spend hours in this position before returning back into the forested areas.
