If only aliens in SciFi were more like this, really creative and imaginative.
Whenever I see a movie involving aliens, something like this is what I'd like to see.
This blue entity really looks gorgeous. And the bismuth-environment looks quite fitting and wonderful as well. :)

Exactly, that's just so boring and uninspired. And the argument that it needs to be relatable to the audience doesn't ever work for me when regarding aliens. If they want something relatable, they should stick with humans. If they want to do alien lifeforms, they should go wild. Aliens aren't supposed to be relatable, that's the whole concept of being "alien". It takes effort to understand the intentions of an alien being due to the differences and despite the differences it might be possible in the end, even if it's not a "rubber-forehead alien". But of course, abstract beings are always treated as unknowable or evil and only humanoids are fine... But well, I'm not here to rant.
Very good drawing indeed. And the iridescence on the texture is really nice. The colors paired with the eyes kinda remind me of a peacock, not that I've ever seen a peacock looking like this. That's what I love about alien artwork. One can lose oneself in the picture, trying to understand its anatomy and one might always find something new and exciting any time one takes a peek at it. :)
