Almost seven years ago I've been prompted to give a more grounded imagery to a vision of a technologically advanced Russian war machine, based on fond memories of playing Empire Earth 1. That attempt can be viewed here: https://www.deviantart.com/thegreat.....oved-552247433
Now, based on how this technologically advanced Russian war machine, with all its technological marvels, actually functions in real life, I've been prompted to give an additionally informed and nuanced imagery to that vision. And lo and behold! Grigor version 2.2, rallying his troops across time and space... just give him two more weeks... and two more weeks after that!
Inspired by Sierra Entertainment Empire Earth*;
Watercolor 70cm x 50cm in size.
*In retrospect, Sierra managed surprisingly well - although likely inadvertently - at writing a scenario that might as well have been the wet dream of a modern Vatnik, what with technologically augmented Russian Empire crushing domestic opposition, conquering European countries at will and enslaving Chinese people, among other things.

Inked sketch had already been done at that point - although drawing had been left sitting unattended for a while, I had no option of adding new themes to it.
But hey - this means that a further reevaluation will have to be drawn at some point. Especially what with Kremlin propagandists trying to cook up historic fanfictions that would explain away as to why each settlement 'liberated' by the Russian army from the 'evil Ukrop nazis' no longer resembles a settlement, but a sea of ruins dotted with mass graves.
