Yep! I quite like the furry trend of toeless boots/stirrups/whatever else leaves a decent chunk of the soles and toes exposed, both for the usual reasons and also because they are a perfect setup for situations like this! Plus, nobody likes sand in their shoes, so in some way I'm sure people can relate :p
