Verity: "Happy Pride Month everybody. And also a happy belated National Mascot Day to you, Ness.
"Who, just for the record, I can neither confirm nor deny is in any way LGBT. All I know is that she represents a team called the Pride in a profession that is INSANELY male-dominated, so it seems appropriate regardless.
"Seriously, why is that? Even in the women's leagues, most of the mascots are male. Not that there's anything wrong with that -- I wouldn't dare stop any men from cheering on a team of women -- but how come the only time it goes the other way is when the official mascot has a girlfriend?"
Tera: "I think it's because the typical antics expected of a mascot... I dunno, aren't very ladylike, I guess." *nods* "But I know what you mean. It's a proven fact that kids are less freaked out by female mascots than males. And after that jackass's 'get that son of a bitch off the field' moment, I would've sworn there'd be at least one team who'd introduce a female canine mascot identified by the name on the back of her shirt as 'Mom'."
