I know it was just a metaphor, but now you've actually got me curious about what would happen if a tornado ran into a volcano..
..would the mix of cold and hot air make it stronger?
...would the high wind speeds feed the flames of the volcano and make it hotter?

It is a mystery! I imagine you'd get something like a Fire Devil/Fire Whirl?
No doubt it's a beautiful picture and the greys really compliment the whole sort of mood but it's very easy to take this picture out of context because it can resemble so many different things to different people, I know that probably wasn't your intention but I reckon that scenario is more common than most know. :P
Ahh I don't mind if it's taken in different ways really. :) In a lot of ways I do like imagery which can hit home with different people/situations.
Although I know what it means to me, and it's just a little character backstory with no 'real life' meaning, I know that some people may be able to relate to a situation that is similar to the image. I'm cool with that <3
