I'd say that's about how long it took me to figure out what I wanted. We're not counting circle bastard because that'd be a whole other 4 years of not knowing what I want. Anyway, here's Adam Game.
The first one is from October 2020, when I finally gave up on the Henry Stickmin-esque circle head, no nose, stick eyes. I at least knew I wanted real change.
The second one was from that christmas, when I marketed it to a friend as a "new design". It didn't take me long to realize eyebrows should match the hair color, and I brought down the pot belly and gave him more cybernetics, but It still didn't really merit being called a new design.
The third one, I thought would be perfect for him, being more polished, and generally looking prettier and more like my end goal, but I decided for a time it would be his "early season" design, before he started strength training.
The fourth is his current design. This is one I'm happy with as of now, but that might just be the downfall of this series since lifting heavy weights doesn't make you a head taller, so unless I make the old frames 4:3 and "resize image with canvas", He'll get a lot taller with no explanation, unless I redesign all of my characters so it just looks like an animation bump.
He's not perfect, because paint 3D is a stubborn bitch that won't let me color over the dead pixels, but he's definitely about where I want him, being muscular but comparable in-universe to my own physique minus the stylization, and capable of playing femboy or big man whenever the mood shifts. Next update probably comes in nine months when I decide he's a girl and invert the subtlety of his gender identity. Already got him in a skirt and makeup, just wait until that becomes their default and I start a new evolution tree!
