This took longer than usual, due to my job being a time sink and creativity killer. In this episode, Arqeez refuses an offer to smash and Zekra gets answers to philosophical musings.

I think this one is by far my favourite. Absolutely worth all the waiting.
The good old structure is back, starting with a nice foreshadowing and series of random events that lead to the main storyline. Which has some unexpected twists itself.
The drunken talk from Zekra was priceless, as well as Arq being a real gentleman. He has definitely matured and became more responsible. And he gets all the fighting still.
Irti Kal and Chromeself's story is really touching and deep, taking into account some real philosophical questions. Not even the problem of copying someone's mind - this one remains rather theoretical and abstract even nowadays, but one of crime and punishment. Is it right to punish someone who did their crimes a long time ago? Is it right to do so if they truly repent? I've got some issues with authoritarian repressive states (for obvious reasons), so had perhaps less sympathy to Chromeself than was originally intended, but its motives seemed pretty sincere in the end. Even more lovely was to see the deep relationship with a regular organic lifeform.
The illustrations are top-notch, with a new architectural style to add to the collection.

Despite all the setbacks, this was one I quite enjoyed writing myself.
It's less a case of being a gentleman, more one of "don't stick your dick in crazy". And of course, he's the big and beefy one of the two, although Zekra will end up in a fighting pit somewhere along the line as well.
Such questions pop up on a regular basis, but usually not as prominent as here. This one in particular was based on nazi hunters. And yes, those two were fun to write and quite the show-stealers.
