I think his father is likely Figgins, so Lopin is from the same batch as Lizzie. They were discussing how nearly all the yinglets they sired togther had a habit of being highly intelligent yet prone to emotional development problems. Vizlet was concerned it was due to both herself and Figgins being quite old (for Yinglets at least).
Lopin may be wanting more than a smile, but I don't think it's as much as the others we saw.
Beizel is asking good questions and things Lopin needs to think on..
However I think if he's not careful, Lopin will know he's still cared about by members of the enclave.
All said I would love to see Beizel and Ran in the same room together! The silliness that would follow!

Lopin has quite good perception. Surprisingly good really. And he's a honest boy, when asked came super clean about his feelings. I can wee why Viz can't show weakness around him, not just because he'd squeak if pressured, but he'd likely see RIGHT through the facade if even a little crack was shown.

Probably. The Spymaster on the other hand is a whole different matter. He can be seen talking to the outcast and it can be played off as just information gathering if anyone else gets suspicious and starts asking questions. Basically, in his role as master spay, he can say and do what Viz can not.
