...so much I wish I could hug it.
Getting up close to the Washington Monument. The sheer size and history behind it is pretty overwhelming. A few tourists in front of me were taking photos touching the obelisk, so after they were done, I jumped in for a few hugs. Furries are always hugging everything... I swear...
It says a lot when someone being as obnoxious as me can roam around the nation's capital and give people a few laughs and smiles.
People can hate on the politics of America, but the one thing hopefully mostly everyone can agree on, is the support for our country's men and women who serve.
Just a few steps from the monument resides the WWII Memorial. Being as respectful as a giant dog can, I merely observed the scene. It was quite a transition from the bustles of a loud rally to the tranquil human murmurs and subtle waterfalls trickling. One can respect the amount of courage and heart a soldier has to stick up for their country and beliefs.
Here's to the veterans of past, present, and future. Here's to keeping the rest of us safe to be able to do such silly things :)

Absolutely one of the best things ever to be posted on FA.
That makes me really proud.
We can all agree to disagree, but the process
is what's really important.
Those that gave their lives to protect that process
deserve our respect and giant debt of gratitude.
They have enabled the right of a giant dog to appear in public.
Freedom of expression rocks.
