the DKoK has undergone some flanderization over the years, and its mostly in memes that they're THAT suicidal. Of course they care about casualties, if lives are wasted in senseless casualties, then they'll try to prevent as much of it if it can be helped

The main thing about krieg is that they want to redeem themselves because what their ancestors did, they won't commit suicide by minefield at first occasion, they just want to win and don't care if they die in the process

You know, the thing I find most inaccurate lore-wise about this comic, isn't the fact that the Krieger is questioning orders of a superior, or the fact the Commissar wasn't immediately bayoneted for suggesting NOT Sacrificing in the name of the Big E, but simply the fact that Krieg-chan is a woman, because, of course, being all grimdark and gloomy, Women aren't sent to the front because, under the Cult of Sacrifice, since women are the only ones who can carry children to term, it is considered, "Wasteful" to put them in the line of fire, and instead expose themselves to the normal amounts of Life-threatening danger on Krieg.
