I suppose this is where it all started for me - the inspiration that led to a life of drawing cartoon animals.

I loved the Road Rovers series. While I could level plenty of criticism towards the characters, writing and storylines, it was enough to appeal to my impressionable youth. The final episode was one that particularly got my attention. It was the only episode that - in my opinion - actually put effort in giving the characters a bit of depth and personality. We had Hunter looking for his mum, Blitz's passion for peppermint milkshakes and we found out Colleen had feelings towards Hunter. I have a soft spot for romantic subplots and it was a shame the series ended just as it got interesting.

Anyway, the series led to the inspiration of my own characters, projects and focus for the past couple of decades.
