If there's ever someone who truly despises you, just take a moment and try to sort things out. It might not always work but it's well worth the effort. Blackwell and Kirkrapine are probably the best example. That raven never spoke to a mammal without picking a fight but now he seems calm, perhaps even friendly... Relatively speaking... He seems to hone a caustic wit even in the gentlest of times. At least Blackwell finds it funny.
