I've been doing so much digital drawing lately I wanted to do something traditional. I bought a pretty fancy brush pen that actually has a real brush tip and not those nasty felt markerish tips most brush pens have, so it's more like working with a true brush. This was just practice with it. Most of the stuff was freehanded, my arm has a hard time with control on round objects so that word bubble kind of got fucked up

As for why the animals are around Angie, it has to do with her being from the monster island. Believe it or not the monsters there love and bond with nature, so nature loves her by association. She doesn't know this so this kind of thing happening weirds her out.
