This ancient earl of some foreign kingdom from a yesteryear poses for his noble painting.

I've felt inspired recently. But I've been having trouble conjuring up ideas to actually draw and/or paint. So I drew this period piece for the sake of drawing onto a sheet of ordinary A3 paper. I wanted to do something opulent and fantastic, and this was the best I could muster. But I had a set of oil paints I had yet to use and I figured it was about time I tried them. Boy, was this a good choice? I really fell in love with the medium only a few minutes after starting. I want to do more with this!
