A pic of my main girl Alix (center) with her four adopted children; Reo (top left), Gaia (bottom left), Cyane (top right) and Holly (bottom right). A little history on the three on how they met and formed a family:
Holly: Was the first of the four adopted. Holly was found by Alix in a field chained up to a tree, hungry, naked, and frightened. She explained to Alix that she was a slave and was being kept for her milk; as she is a holstaurus, the milk in her breasts is considered very valuable for it's healing properties. She told Alix how she was separated from her herd at the age of five and that her current owner won't let her go until she had given him what he wanted. When said owner came by to forcibly milk her, Alix stepped in and broke the man's nose, taking the key to Holly's chains and freeing her. She offered to take Holly home and keep her safe, which she agreed to. Slowly after much bonding, Holly found Alix to be a wonderful mother, and vice versa. The two have been close ever since, always happy to be near the other.
Cyane: Was the second of the four adopted. Cyane is a special case because she's not technically adopted, as she still has her birth mother around. She was born when Alix and Teale, Cyane's bubble slime birth mother, met up when Teale was hungry and on the verge of starving. With very few options available, Alix reluctantly let Teale drink some of her breast milk. As it turns out Teale drank just enough to divide, the normal way slimes reproduce, and Cyane was born that very day. Due to a technicality this made Alix the father, though she prefers to be called 'mom' for obvious reasons. Unlike her other kids, Alix didn't spend as much time with Cyane since she already had a mother figure in her life, though they were very good friends. Recently though the two have started bonding and now Cyane is as attached to Alix as her other kids are, something Alix is thrilled about. Cyane has also developed a habit of riding in Alix's large breasts, so anywhere Alix goes, there's always a chance Cyane's tagging along for the ride.
Reo: Was the third of the four adopted. Reo was born and raised in the wild by wolves and cougars, learning English and human mannerisms from campers. It wasn't Alix, but Terra who found him and brought him home, the two eventually becoming lovers. He met Alix in her backyard, getting accustomed to his new home. The two talked for a while and Alix, taking pity on the boy for his past, embraced him and told him she would be his new mother, which he timidly agreed to. After that the two would grow closer and Reo would even compare her to his wolf mother; fierce and strong, but warm and loving. He loves her with all his heart, ready to do anything to keep her at her happiest.
Gaia: Was the final of the four to be adopted. Gaia is a makeshift golem, built from scrap parts by two greedy slave owners, looking to make an easy buck with cheap labor. While walking past a quarry one night, Alix spotted an entire encampment of golems. She inspected the area and found Gaia, struggling to keep up with the pace of the others. From the shadows she saw these two men beating the little golem; this pushed her berserk button and she returned the beating ten-fold to the men. Gaia and the other golems were all revealed to have been controlled by the men, and once she cleared the glyphs on their backs, they were free and all left the area...except for Gaia. Alix picked the little girl up and carried her home, giving her her name. Gaia slowly warmed up to Alix, returning all the love she gave her. She idolizes her mother, going so far as to dye her hair the same red color as hers, hoping that she grows up just like her.
Alix loves all her kids, calling them her precious treasures and dropping whatever she's doing if one of them needs her. She does everything she can to keep them happy and they do the same for her. All three kids feel lucky this woman found them, and she feels even luckier for all of them being alive.
WHEW that was a mouthful, kudos to you if you read through all that. I wanted to give a little history but ended up telling the whole thing. ^^;
