well, after much complaining from others, i've decided to calm down on my "over the top" scratch shading for a more simpler style.

I've never complained, but your extreme use of the other shading did bother me on a lot of your pieces. It just looked really.... weird and unnatural. But I didn't want to say anything because it's YOUR art and you do what YOU want to do! You don't have to listen to anyone else. :) While I personally prefer this shading over the other type, I think you should go ahead and do what you want.
Also, this IS super cute x3 I looooove love love how you do faces!!

I have to say, major improvement.
The simpler shading style works better with your general drawing style. The scratchy shading just looked, as some people will say, stringy and sloppy. That's my opinion too, and I'm not saying that to be mean or anything like that. As I said, the simpler shading works better with what you've got, looks cleaner, smoother, and shadows really should be smooth and, for the most part, more solid and bold, not... well, stringy.
Scratchy is nice, but there's already a 'scratchy' style of shading... it's cross-hatching. x3
By all means though, continue to work on a unique style of shading, drawing, colouring and what-have-you that is all your own. Don't feel overly confined by what everyone likes to see. If you keep working at it, playing around with different things, and so on, then you'll find something.

This looks a TON better.
I do have to say, the "scratchy" thing was the ONLY thing keeping me from enjoying your art. Your black-and-whites were excellent, but the colored ones with that scratchy thing...it just made your character's skin and fur look unnecessarily saggy and baggy.
Like Milkie said above, NEVER take this as a sign to stop trying to innovate. Just always remember that sometimes you have to get it wrong to get it right, know what I mean?
Looking forward to some luscious Peach art, soon.<3

I liked the scratchy style and the loose quality of the way the lines gave form to the character. I felt that the sketchy style being loose was expressive and i liked that. I like this too but it just seems too much of the same thing in regards to other digital art that uses the cel shading style. Its been beat to death which is probably why I preferred your sketchy and loose linework of your earlier pieces. And being that its your style its what sets you apart and I don't think you should ever truly let others dictate what style you should do if you enjoy what your doing. Do what you like and feel that makes you unique :). That being said you still draw anthros and furs extremely well and I love how you draw them :).
