Thought I would give FA a peek at the redesign of my comic. And give some official news…
* I DID NOT QUIT this comic
* The comic is no longer a Ginga doujinshi, it is now an original comic
*ATR will have a different title
*The characters are being done entirely in my own style
I decided to do this because I did not feel right about messing around with Takahashi’s stories so much, especially considering he’s still writing chapters to the Silver Fang series. My comic had enough of its own elements to make an original story.
Also, I really did not like being identified as just a “Ginga” or anime artist. I did not appreciate a ‘review’ assuming I “copied” Ginga. It’s a fan comic, shouldn’t it share elements of the original? Whatever. And yes, I can draw people. I did not copy any people from Ginga.
Despite all that, I don’t regret the pages I did make. It was a fun! I’m not going to pretend I hate them/Ginga now, or be ashamed that it used to be Ginga-based.
So I don’t know when the comic will start up again because I’m finishing up college right now, and animating is my priority. But you will see it around in the future, I promise that. Also, no “ass pats” please xD I would appreciate honest opinions.

Aww I was a fan of the original comic you were doing, guess we gotta accept change! And don't listen to assholes. You're a great artist and I see no problem doing a Ginga-based fan comic. Haters will be haters, I'll say.
This looks interesting! The new style looks like Ginga meets Disney and it's really nice to see a new look.
I still think it could be Ginga inspired, like mentioning references of other characters like Gin but keeping the main story away from the Ginga series....like both stories are happening at the same time but in different places, you know? I see no problem still slightly basing it off Ginga.
Maybe when you decide to do this comic if you want to, you can state that it was inspired by Yoshi's Ginga series but has absolutely nothing to do with the stories.

This seems like a great turn for the comic 8D
It was good then, but I bet with a different focus other than a fancomic and with a whole new stylization, it will be just as great as its predecessor.
I wish you the best of luck with it -- looking forward to it -- despite it's not in the near future
Haha, Eriko's such a big lass -- and they look more similar to their breeds now rather than just stylized to look like what Ginga called 'breeds'.
