holey crap. I've been trying to meet a shrew for sooo long. I've made traps for them and never had success, I've looked and looked. And here it is!

I was outside reading and heard some squeeking, had to call my dog away from teh area, got distracted by some beautiful springtails, the dog ran back and dug this up. I threw the dog away just in time (she had it by the tail but as far as I can tell there's no puncture and hopefully no internal bleeding), and got a good look at this sweet little shrew.

...I gave it a Yogie for it's terrible experience.
