The golden serpent's name is not very original...I know. Anyway this is Midas, an ancient golden snake statue that seems inanimate at first but likes to lure others (usually treasure thieves that intrude in his temple or otherwise people that are as interested in gold as he is) to a very golden fate. Quite literally. True to his namesake, he has the ability to turn other people into pure gold (usually golem, sometimes inanimate) just like him, especially people that try to steal his temple's treasure only to get entranced by the hypnotic glow of his ruby eyes so that they end up wanting to BECOME part of his treasure in the temple! Which is exactly what happened here. Petal Fire, a bounty hunter oc that belongs to a very close friend on deviantart that is also the artist that drew this.
