Wait, why? I mean, being a super-slut isn't exactly mandatory in the Bombshells. Is it more of a cultural thing, or...?

The Bombshells is essentially a team of busty mercenaries who take down baddies with both guns and their bodies. Skimpy clothes helps distract the bad guys, and means less to take off and put on when it comes to sex.

And being a slut is not mandatory, it's just a coincidence, though sluts would enjoy the role.

She was like a shy girl when first concepted, but it just didn't click why a girl who's shy and stuff would be into this.

What I mean is that the Bombshells don't actually have any need to 'distract' their enemies-they're extremely effective soldiers regardless, to the point that they're almost never in any real danger. Nor do they take full advantage of their looks when given opportunities to do so-most members seem like they would rather die than make compromises, at least with their enemies. Nor do they expect their members to sacrifice their dignity or do anything uncomfortable for the sake of their missions, or even just to survive said missions-in fact they do the exact opposite and outright encourage new recruits to be proud and defiant, at least as far far as Calico64 has portrayed them. In his stories, at least, their slutty antics seem to be almost entirely for their own enjoyment, rather than any sort of practical purpose. If your interpretation is different from his, then that would be my mistake, I just don't know if that's ever been made clear. My knowledge of more recent stuff involving the Bombshells is fairly limited.

Though, even assuming your interpretation is very different from his, I'm still not sure that I understand the reasoning. Missy's backstory is (and I believe always was) that she joined the Bombshells to pay off her school debts. I'm a bit confused as to how she could possibly be struggling with that, considering she's a beautiful young women with a very valuable skillset, but it's not a stretch to assume that the Bombshells pay well enough to speed up the process. And wasn't she supposed to be working her way up to super-slut status, originally? From what I gathered, she was never supposed to be a prude or anything, just not as experienced or comfortable in her sexuality as the other Bombshells.

It just doesn't seem all that unbelievable to me that she would join the team for the money, with no intention of doing anything as risqué as the other girls, only to find herself intrigued when she sees their more promiscuous lifestyle up close, leading her to try it for herself and become more confident and promiscuous over time. That actually seems like a reasonably solid line of logic, as far as character arcs go. Not to mention that her 'shyness' could always be relative-she might be a shameless slut by real world standards, but could be considered modest and reserved by the standards or her own world.

But I might just be missing something super obvious right now. I apologize if I am, I'm just really curious about the logic behind this particular change.

Also if it's more of a meta reason ("I just like it better this way" or something), that's fine too. Again, I'm just curious.

Let's just go with meta reason and leave it at that.
