Now, being repeatedly questioned about Doctor Eggman's involvement, I can assure you that the nefarious doctor has absolutely nothing sinister planned for Amy and is not actually working with Knuckles. Kidnapping Amy is all on the Echidna. I mean, what could possibly be sinister about glowing tubes of green fluid?
Fine, fine, the Doctor has his own plans. He will be taking advantage of our heroes being distracted, and quite impressively if I say so myself.

I still would like to know exactly WHY Knuckles is doing this!? I have so many questions! Like, has he always been secretly in love with Amy? If so, then for how long? When did it all start? Why didn't he ask her out like a normal Mobiun? Does he plan on getting her pregnant?! I'M GOING CRAZY HERE!!!
Not really. It never dove deep into his psyche. Like if his twisted love for her started in their childhood or teen years, if whether or not he was always jealous of Sonic because of Amy's devotion to him (something he never had) was never explained and if he wants a family. He only gave very vague answers at best.
