Speaking as a semi-retired yugioh player, I see a Magician girl deck working well for you.
I primarily played Blue Eyes white dragon and Synchron decks, myself. Sadly the meta for the game these days is pretty much broken. Unless you play like, two or three specific decks, than you can't really win against anyone who runs those specific decks.

I can see a Magician Girl deck working for you as well. As for me, I just fool around with whatever deck I want. The most fun ones for me are Elemental Heroes, Amazoness, Heroic Challengers. But in terms of building a deck, the only one I've made is my Galaxy Blue-Eyes mishmash deck of doom. (The doom part is just a joke). And I liked building it, but I'm not expecting to win against anything like Virtual Worlds because it bricks too easily. But I was using cards that I had lying around. But still, it was fun to do.
You'd be surprised how viable that deck is in the current metagame. One of my Blue-eyes win buttons was calling out Either Cipher dragon or Titanic Galaxy before using Dragublion to pull out Numeron Dragon, and that was without a main-decked Galaxy eyes to better empower the likes of Prime dragon. The interference the Galaxy Exceed's create make for great setup for a Over-10K beatsticks.
Oh trust me, I know they can be viable. I was saying my current deck isn't going to be going up against things like Virtual worlds. But I do plan to improve upon it and make it better. That's why I actually use Ignis Online in order to kinda get an idea of how to improve it. It is a deck I do want to make even better, it's just that my actual deck is not that great. But it's something I'm working on.
