My family were all watching the Super Bowl. My nephew came into the room to share how excited he was about the play I obviously just saw. He couldn't understand why I was watching "The Puppy Bowl" on "Animal Planet".
In the Navy, a friend invited me, and another person, to his parent's house for a "Superbowl Party". This was 1975 and I didn't remember ever hearing about the event. So, I stayed in the kitchen with the women and helped out.
Now, it's a few weeks later. The three of us, are all together, saying "goodbye" to one of us. When I turn to leave, I hear one person say "Faggot" and the other says "weirdo". I'm sure it's because I told that whole room of guys, I didn't like football, and hung out in the kitchen with the women.
