Masked Toon Singer Season 5 Group D Duet Finale
Kitty: Welcome back to the Masked Toon Singer Season 5, everybody! Well, this is it! The last Duet Finale before the Battle Royale Finale! Here, the last two members of Group D will be performing a Duet to see who will be joining Peacock, Werewolf, and Dalmatian in the finale! Doesn't that sound exciting? :D
Everyone: (cheering and applauding)
Kitty: Last time, Group C had their Duet Finale, and the Scorpion was sent crawling home, after being revealed to be Dr. John Zoidberg from "Futurama." And since Terry and Stew were the only ones who got him right, they both received a point in the running for the Golden Toon Ear Trophy. So, Terry and Cadence are tied up again with seven points a-piece, with Isabelle trailing behind with five points. Chick and Stew are now tied with three points a-piece, while poor old Fred is in last place with two points.
Fred: I swear that I'm gonna get a point this round!
Stew: I'm at least hoping to break the tie with Chick and get up in the ranking more!
Chick: Don't worry, Stew. I'm sure you'll get it this round.
Stew: Thanks, Chick. ^^
Cadence: Well, Terry. It looks like we'll back to square one with our scores.
Terry: Yeah, I guess so. Let's hope we can break the tie somehow.
Cadence: Hopefully.
Isabelle: So, anyway, Kitty. Who's returning to perform this time?
Kitty: Well, Isabelle, since we brought Robin Hood back in Season 5's first episode to help us out with the clues for Group A, we decided to bring him back again to have him perform with the Ice Cube. As for the Bat, well, she'll be performing with last season's runner-up, Loona, a.k.a. the Dragon. ;)
Isabelle: Oh, boy! I can't wait to see what kind of performances they'll be giving us.
Stew: Me neither! It's gonna be so exciting! :D
Cadence: Okay, you two, settle down. We know you're excited.
Fred: And let me take a wild guess: the last two members of Group D has shared something with the veterans that serves as a clue to their true identities, right?
Kitty: You catch on pretty quickly, Fred. ^^;
Terry: Well, I don't really blame him. It has been the clue theme for each of the Duet Finales, lately.
Kitty: Yeah, I know. But hey, if you've got a good thing going, you might as well stick to it.
Terry: Good point.
Fred: Sorry for being so blunt, Kitty. I guess I'm just a bit sour that I'm in last place. ^^;
Kitty: Don't worry about it, Fred. But, at any rate, let's get the final Duet Finale underway with the Bat and her Duet Partner! She was a very surprising reveal for our show last season, originated from a web series AIMED AT ADULTS, and despite her demeanor, she was good enough to make it to the finale. So, let's hear it for the Bat along with the artist formerly known as the Dragon, Loona the Hellhound!
Bat: OMGoodness! I'm so close to filling the final spot in the Battle Royale Finale, I can almost taste it! Through fire and screams and all that kinda stuff, I made it through every round I was in, all two of them, to make it to this spot! I always was a strong believer in second chances, and once my big project gets enough funding as well as a green light from my superiors, everyone will be walking on clouds. :D But, right now, I'm gonna perform with someone who I believe could use a spot in my project. She may be rough on the outside, but I think she's a big sweetheart deep down. And believe me, I should know. ;)
Loona: (texting on her phone)
Cameraman: Psst. Loona, you're on camera!
Loona: Huh? Oh, (bleep)! (puts her phone away) Sorry about that. I didn't realize the camera was on me. Anyway, being the Season 4 runner-up, I thought for sure that I was gonna win it all! But a black and white bamboo-munching bear took the victory instead. Personally, I didn't care that much, but I believe that the Bat deserves to be in the finale. I mainly stuck with songs that fit my personality the most, and that's probably what got me to the finals in the first place. So, for my duet with the Bat, I'm gonna keep that train rollin', and sing a little diddy that I'm sure everyone in Hell will sing along too. :)
Song: "I Hate Myself For Lovin' You" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjrWw0h1qeo
Kitty: Wow! That was incredible, Loona! You knew what you were doing when you said to stick to your personality the most. ^^
Loona: (chuckles) Yeah, kinda. Hope I did alright.
Fred: More than alright, Loona. You were amazing!
Cadence: Hearing you perform again almost makes us regret not giving you the Golden Toon Mask Trophy last season.
Loona: Yeah. But Sunset was a solid performer herself. She earned it. ;)
Stew: Aw, don't be modest, Loona. :)
Loona: Well, that's something I never thought I'd hear somebody call me.
Stew: I guess there's a first time for everything.
Chick: And as for you, Bat, you certainly showed us that you've got what it takes to make it to the Finale!
Terry: Yeah, and pardon the pun, but we're completely batty for you! X3
Bat: (laughs) I bet you've been waiting to use that pun ever since I first showed up, weren't you?
Terry: Yes.
Kitty: Okay, everyone. Now it's time for Loona to tell us something about the Bat that might be a crucial clue in figuring out her true identity. So, Loona, care to share with us something that the Bat has told you about her before the performance?
Loona: Actually, we didn't really talk much. I did, however, smell her when I came here to the studio. Oddly enough, I was able to recognize her scent. (smells the Bat) It's brimstone! I know what brimstone smells like, being a hellhound and all. So, that gave me the notion that the Bat may be somebody I know from Hell.
Cadence: Somebody she knows from Hell?
Fred: Do you think this could be another Helluva Boss character? Like that owl chick who was Stolas' daughter?
Isabelle: You mean Octavia?
Fred: Yeah, that's her!
Chick: Or it could be Verosika Mayday. She leads a double life as a human as well as a succubus.
Terry: Or maybe it could be Stolas' wife, Stella.
Cadence: I'm not too sure. The Bat seems to be too friendly to be any of those characters. But I have a feeling she's still from Hell.
Stew: What do you mean?
Cadence: Well, there's also "Hazbin Hotel," another web series that takes place in Hell made by the same creator. So, I've got a gut feeling that this could be the Princess of Hell herself, Charlie Morningstar!
Stew: Hey! That's not a bad guess!
Kitty: Well, whoever the Bat is, or wherever she's from, we can all agree that she gave us an incredible performance! Not to mention, her duet partner was just as incredible herself. So, Loona, thanks again for dropping by our set!
Loona: Yeah, whatever. I'm gonna go get some soup. (walks off stage after giving a slight wave to the audience)
Kitty: Well, that's gratitude for ya. Anyway, it's about time for the Ice Cube to perform his duet. Earlier this season, we brought Robin Hood, a.k.a. the Beetle from Season 1, back to showcase his archery skills by shooting arrows that clues to the contestants' true identities written on pieces of paper attached to them. Now, we've brought him back to have him perform a duet with one of our remaining contestants just for the fun of it. ^^ So, let's give it up for the Ice Cube and his duet partner, the artist formerly known as the Beetle, Robin Hood!
Ice Cube: It's hard for me to believe that I'm this close to make it to the Battle Royale Finale. I guess I have that sort of luck that makes me avoid all sorts of trouble. But if I'm so lucky, how come I was still stuck in another time period, and how come my creators haven't given me another entry in my series, huh? Where's my luck there? (calms down) Sorry. Just got a little grouchy there. But at least I still have the support of my fans, and I'm getting to sing with a legend who may have influenced me in more ways than one. Trust me. He and I have so much in common.
Robin: I can't believe that I'm already back this season, but this time, I'm going to be showcasing my musical talents rather than my archery skills. I know I tried to showcase my skills all the way back in Season 1, but I got eliminated before I even got a chance to show what I'm really made of. I didn't do too bad, either. But at least I get to do it again in this duet, especially with a walking ice cube. Yeah, it's very silly, but so was a singing mechanical beetle. Come to think of it, this whole show seems very silly. But I guess that's why so many people like it so much. ^^
Song: "Follow You, Follow Me" by Genesis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plcFlVa2RFw
Kitty: That was very beautiful, you guys. You two definitely seem to work very well together. :)
Fred: Yeah. The Ice Cube did say that Robin influenced him, so I guess that had something to do with it.
Robin: It would seem so, Fred.
Cadence: Ice Cube, you continue to amaze us with how talented you are. I can see you being in the Battle Royale Finale.
Chick: Me too. You definitely have what it takes.
Terry: Yeah, but he still needs to beat Bat in order to get to that point.
Robin: That IS true, but I believe that he's gonna hit that bull's eye, and make it to the finale!
Isabelle: That's very encouraging, Robin. :)
Robin: Thank you.
Kitty: Robin, I hate to interrupt, but has the Ice Cube told you something about himself? It might prove to be a crucial clue in figuring out his true identity.
Robin: Well, Kitty, there was something that he told me that came as a bit of a shock to me. There was this one time he was sent to the Middle Ages, and he donned an outfit that was similar to my own, especially to participate in a game that required the use of a bow and arrow. Too bad I wasn't around. I could've helped him out with that!
Stew: Oh, boy. I'm totally stumped on that one!
Fred: Me too.
Isabelle: Me three. And I'm smarter than Fred!
Fred: Oh, brother.
Terry: I think I have an idea as to who this could be. He says that he hasn't had an entry in his series for years, and he's traveled back in time to the Middle Ages to help one of his ancestors. So, I'm guessing that this is Sly Cooper himself.
Cadence: You know something, Terry? I think you could be right.
Fred: Yeah, even I'M starting to believe it!
Terry: Thanks.
Stew: But how does the archery bit come into play?
Cadence: I remember that Sly had an archery costume in that level. Very fitting for that level, I must say.
Stew: Oh.
Chick: But, regardless, that was an amazing performance from both the Ice Cube and Robin. So, well done, the both of you.
Kitty: Truer words have never been spoken, Chick. Well, that about does it for the final Duet Finale for this season. We'd like to thank Robin Hood for returning once again to perform with the Ice Cube.
Robin: Thanks for having me back, Kitty. (kisses Kitty's hand, and returns backstage after bowing to the audience)
Kitty: Oh, what a charmer. Anyway, now it's time for everyone back home to vote! Leave a comment below telling us which duet from Group D is your favorite. Whoever has the most votes will be joining Peacock, Werewolf, and Dalmatian in the big Battle Royale Finale, while the singer with the least amount of votes will be unmasked and sent back to their universe. So, happy voting, everyone!
