I was just trying to model the behavior of some creatures…

Thank you very much for your interest.
I have posted the full video on Twitter : https://twitter.com/HopelessMole/st.....63291608170497
The "rules" defining their behavior are quite simple : https://www.red3d.com/cwr/boids/

Yee, I am very familiar with boids! They're one of my favorite and most clear examples of Emergent Traits; which is definitely a favorite thing of mine to study, both from a curiosity perspective and from a programming efficiency perspective. Being able to glean complex activity from basic rules is something I love learning about.
Another favorite of mine, is ant simulation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=citAiuIg670
I think it speaks droves to how efficient evolution is to have created creatures so simple that are capable of such incredible feats simply through following a very simple set of rules, and being able to emulate that in coding is very exciting!
