This is Zack, son of Clair and born and raised in Blackthorn City. Sporting a Rayquaza based outfit (normal and shiny), he left at the age of 12 to become a Master Dragon Trainer. He, too, specializes in dragon types and strongly believes that Charizard should be documented as a Fire/Dragon type instead of a Fire/Flying. Maybe he picked up the belief when met Lance one day, but the fact of the matter is he's a strong trainer, using methods such making himself the target or even having his pokemon fight each other in order to train them. Sometimes he'll even make targets to hone their accuracy in certain attacks, such as Flamerthrower, Dragon Rage, or even Hyper Beam. He also treats them as if they were humans, having conversations with them and even exchanging feelings and experiences with them. Reason for this is because he feels that pokemon are jsut as intelligent as humans and can be quite the same as them if given the opportunity. Giving the opportunity has actually brought Zack's pokemon so close that they'd literally sacrifice their lives for him because Zack would do the same for them and has. The only pokemon he disagrees with, however, is Altaria, being that it looks nothing like a dragon yet it's considered a Dragon/Flying type. He doesn't hate it or dislike it, though. He just doesn't think it should recognized as a dragon type. The story on how he found this out is for a later project. It's cute and funny, trust me. ^^
Oh...and he's tossing a Draco Ball, a custom ball I made a day ago, seeing as they have a ball for cathing water type and even a ball for moon types. ...Why not dragon types? This is what drove Zack to actually design, create and engineer this exclusive ball. However, once he patented the Draco Ball, he made it exclusive only to Dragon Specialists, Dragon Experts, or Trainers with Dragon Pokemon. He was even successful in proposing and passing a law to confiscate and repossess any Draco Balls used by Poachers, Hunters, Illegal Traders, or even Team Rocket.
His usual team is as follows:
Shadow - Charizard (shiny)
Zack’s best friend since hatching, he acts very human and sometimes teases Zack but he comforts him when Zack is hitting a slump o feeling like crap. He is to Zack what Pikachu is to Ash Ketchum (Satoshi). When Fang, Riku’s female Charizard, is around, he becomes the biggest sweetheart to her. In fact, when both Fang and Shadow are together, their actions are practically identical to Zack and Riku when they’re together.
Red - Gyarados
Zack captured Red when he watched a Magikarp suddenly evolve in the Lake of Rage. Fishing for lunch one day, Zack hooked a Shiny Magikarp. Before he can even make a move to capture it, it suddenly evolved into a Gyarados. Since the capture, Red has been a powerhouse with bit of a short temper and even shorter attention span. He's even clumsy, at time, and tends to fumble things up. But, when battles, he's the greatest Gyarados Zack can ever come across.
Draco - Dragonite
Draco is a kind-hearted dragon, showing more kindness than anyone else in Zack’s team, no matter the team. However, the biggest flaw is that, he’s not a coward, but he’s not brave either. Born with abnormally large ears at birth, which later became the largest wings on any Dragonite due to evolution, he was ridiculed and shunned by his littermates and his mother for months. Found in the empty nest by Zack, he was hand-raised to a healthy state and has been a part of Zack’s team since. He is forever thankful to Zack and tries his best to gain the courage needed to become a true dragon.
Big Sal - Salamence
Lazy for Arceus-knows what reason, Big Sal can’t seem to stand doing anything that involves physical activity. He complains for everything and tries his best not to do any work. He’ll sleep most of the time, even while working, but, if you wake him, there is HELL to be paid. However, as lazy as he is, he is much more powerful than he appears. However, when Riku’s own Salamence, Sally, is around, he suddenly transforms into a workaholic.
Gar - Garchomp
Aggressive, short-tempered, serious and stubborn, but insistently loyal, Gar was captured in order to keep it from becoming a menace. In training with Zack, however, Gar slowly learned to behave himself but also became very loyal and thankful to Zack after realizing how wrong his actions were in the past. Now, a dragon full of pride but hard to amuse, Gar puts all his energy into battles and winning them, although Zack has to keep a short leash on him when he loses his temper.
Cloud - Altaria
Cloud's storis actually more amusing than that of the others'. As a Swablu, he took a perch on Zack's head for a free ride when Zack and Riku flew to Sunyshore City in Sinnoh. But here's where it gets amusing: no matter how kind or annoyed Zack was in trying to keep the Swablu with his flock, the Swablu would always double back and settles on Zack's head over and over with a simple chirp of "Blu." This went on for days, and Zack then learned that a Swablu evolves into an Altaria, which he was shocked to discover was a Flying-Dragon type. He then decided to keep him and named him Cloud. Now an Altaria, Cloud is flighty, high-spirited and playful pokemon. He no longer perches on Zack anymore, but he does stick to his side and behaves very loyally towards him.
For his Unova Region team, he switches out Red and Cloud for these two:
Axel - Haxorus
A cool-headed dragon, Axel thinks, and knows, he’s powerful and skilled. His cockiness is seemingly unbound but, surprisingly, the dragon knows when not to act self-centered. Although, what with all his arrogance, he knows when to stop and battle without letting his power consume him. However, his arrogance causes him to taunt his enemies without knowing the technique itself.
Drakstrike - Hydreigon
A mischievous, maniacal dragon, Darkstrike loves to play pranks and scare others needlessly. He can stop when he wants to…he just doesn’t like to stop. He hates being told when to stop and has a short fuse, but much longer than Gar’s. Darkstrike loves fighting in dark places, like caves, or even at night for reasons Zack will never understand, and therefore dislikes bright lights and broad daylight. He will fight in broad daylight if necessary, but if the chance came to avoid it, he will. He stands by Zack loyally and doesn’t disobey an order, no matter what it is, but he has enough moral understanding to actually question it if it’s too much to ask.
