So after a bunch of pictures that I put a lot of effort into, and that for the most part have worked well? I need to scale back a bit. I'm much shakier than I want to be on poses outside a very basic set, and on drawing characters I don't have a close reference for, and such. So, I'm looking through the old reliable, Preston Blair's books on basic animation, and copying stuff from there in the hopes of doing some basic skills development. Here's one of the dogs from early on in the (first) book, about your basic shapes and skeletons and such.
