I didn’t lose anyone that day when I was 7 days old, but it left quite the impact on my life when that event entered into my mind/life somewhere in my middle school days. Having dreams when I was sleeping; being with the jumpers, being in one of the lobbies as one of the tower collapsed, and another dream to meeting actual survivors of that day. One in my last middle school year worked in the south tower, another survivor, and meeting a singing police officer at the 20th anniversary of 9/11 at the Chesapeake park, who told me after I told him how the event affected my life; that event in a way became a part of my soul. And was on the news on the anniversary in plaid talking. To be honest, when the 21st anniversary happens, I’m going to say “we must not only forget the evil the world saw that day, but must never forget the good that came out of that day, especially the heros. Todd Beamer is one of my heros”. And hopefully place my twin tower models on the beam again and show the world my special coin pendant that says Todd Beamer’s last words LETS ROLL.
