Ka's goal wasn't to destroy the hall, she only needed it as a distraction so she could escape.

Good on Webings, having his kids in mind in a scary event like that. Also interesting "Everything is the way it should be". Does it mean Elestians ran simulations that took into account Ka's actions and think the event is important enough to interfere only to save lives in the burning hall? At this point Ka and Moi are guardian-less so there is a real danger of getting hurt, though I guess Gen was visible on the cover...

Also it's interesting to glimpse a bit of Poseans' past lives

I'm thinking that the Elestians believe that Ka's quest is important to the future of the Poseans.

I knew their weird quirks had something to do with their past lives! I think I even mentioned something like that once.
Is that in the first panel the representation of Ka's smell? She must smell really good if it looks like that lol.
