I switch between the pen tool and the tablet nowadays. I've been practicing with the tablet in hopes I can eventually stop sucking at it.
This piece though was alllll tablet inking! A little trick for doing better lines with a tablet is to zoom in really close when you do it. Then when you zoom out again, it looks smoother. I still find the tablet hard to control, though. Starting to think I might need the Cintiq type of tablet that Wes uses, because the disconnect between what I'm drawing on and the monitor really makes me struggle.
