This Norwegian Urban Legend has only been photographed from a massive distance. It gets its name due to the fact that when it's on the ground it's said to use it's dew-claws on its wings to crawl like a bat would. The haunting sight of its exposed vertibray smoothly moving like a wave is an experience you don't forget. Or at least, one would assume. No one who has gotten that close to a Kryper has come back to tell. Though if you talk to a particular regular at a particular bar you might be told a tale of the swooping talons of a Kryper saving a hikers life by lifting away an angry bear for its next meal. Being a type of wyvern , the Kryper is significantly smaller than dragons that live in the same area and often fall prey to them. Whereas it tends to feast off of large herd mammals. So a bear would be highly irregular. But, the Kryper does not have a diet consisting of humans. Will they agro as a human , yes. But , one does not always need to eat what one kills. It's likely that the Kryper has generational knowledge that gets passed down like crows telling them that humans are always trying to throw things at them. So, the beast won't think twice about charging you. It's rumored that a nomad once tamed a Kryper somehow, a farmer swears to have observed her petting the wyvern's fluffy brown chest and putting the creature at ease. Whoever she was, she has not publicly published her method as of present day.
