Most excellent.
Though I love the little jumping spiders https://exopetguides.com/jumping-sp.....iders-as-pets/
I had one living in my window sill, and you could see that the little guy was actually paying attention to me. I often would stick my finger at it in a non-threatening way and it would reach a leg out and touch my finger. Plus would get excited when I would give it a mealworm, grab it and run off with the treat.

I had a Mexican redknee tarantula as a pet for...I don't know about 11 years? She passed out this spring. I don't know her exact age, since I got her as an adult.
Jumping spiders are cute indeed.
This is a sweet story you tell, I could not describe the relationship with my spider in the same way.

Tarantula's are a unique critter, I owned several when I lived in the Arizona desert. Plus it was fun to walk around when hiking, come across one in the wild, place it on my shoulder like an arachnid parrot. It was fun watching the non-desert folk hiking the same trails freaking out at the big hairy spider.
I had one climb on my neck and sit there for the longest time, and a couple from out of state saw me with the spider. I acted as if zombie-fied, staggering down the path, moaning and groaning. The woman in the couple freaking out "OH MY GOD!!! ITS CONTROLLING HIM!!!"
I miss my tarantula's.
Though Black Widow spiders and Brown Recluses spiders (Both highly toxic when bit) I will cheerfully 'Godzilla' them , a can of WD-40 and a lighter and flame on!!
I also hate centipedes , especially the big, broad, poisonous ones we had in Arizona, Scorpions too...Godzilla'd them as well. Fun fact, of you use an ultra violet flashlight at night, the scorpions 'light up' in the dark. I kept a ultra violet flashlight handy for that very purpose when I'm back in the desert.
