A full drawing requires around 4h, since I'm a bit short on time I just doodled it to not lose the idea x3

Hmm... Maybe a taur with large parts of their lower body covered by hard beetle shell-like wings.
Or perhaps a biped with a marsupial-like pouch they could pull a rack of snacks/drinks out of.

interesting concept about the inbuilt pocket dimension, i wonder how well it takes to something alive trying to hide inside, like a house cat.
i wonder how someone capable with magic attempting to extend the size of said pocket dimension would go, and how it would affect the taur in question.
if no problems occur, it shouldn't be too hard to make the taur's pocket dimension big enough to hold an entire appartment, warehouse or something bigger for people to use and possibly enter. XD

well, at least whoever lives inside will have free transportation to wherever you go in that case.
amusingly it doesn't seem like you can feel what's going on inside, even without extending the space, someone small enough could just open the shell and take a seat underneath if it starts raining.
either way, if i were to make the pocket dimension into a house or luxury apartment complex, i would first ask for permission to make it, with some payment incentives, then split monthly rent of whoever lives there with you.

Hehe, the apartment with transportation is super cool, it's like having a friend with an RV that follows you around all the time.

there is an easy fix to get around that problem about the shell being blocked from opening... just set up something like a portal with variable size opening to an empty area around the shell holder whenever something bigger than the shell needs to go through.
if it's set up to have a feel like the entrance to an elevator, i would think it could be access from every floor in the apartment complex, and could even be a fast way to navigate the halls of the pocket dimension. XD

I would set one in the apartment inside me and one in my real house, this way I can visit "myself" too if needed to clean up or something.
No paradoxes since I cannot enter myself again anyway from the back shell, talking about embedded safety features x3
