In the temple of two jackals, home of Upuaut and Anpu, Areku has been waiting for this day. His father Eren al-Khemi had taken a young black jackal under his protection right after the first battle of Zawty. Eren had just gotten injured and his father and brother got killed. When they returned to the city, a woman presented the boy to him, introduced him as an orphan as his only relative, his father, got just killed in said battle as well.
"What is his name?" Eren al-Khemi asked as the shy black jackal boy tried to hide behind the woman. "His name is... Eren Yanno, son of Heru Yanno... He was named in your honor, Nomarch al-Khemi..."
Eren felt that there was a connection, so he accepted. He did not adopt Eren Yanno as his own son or adopted him, still he was raised at al-Khemi palace and trained. He was of noble blood, but the last of his family line in Zawty. And once his training was done, it was Areku's task to hand over his weapon. During his training, Areku noticed how Upuaut's fervor sparked within Eren Yanno. And so a mighty spear was crafted and on Eren Yanno's 21th birthday, in the temple of two jackals, Areku handed over this spear in honor of Upuaut.

This is the first commission I got with my aquired character Eren Yanno. I hope I can expand his storyline further in more artwork!
