Before he was the notorious Red Goat, he went by another name. He was once called Yzbihn. Born to unknown Ramnen parents, Yzbihn would spend his childhood living in different guild halls under the tutelage of different wizards who trained him well but were never interested in personally raising a child. In time he would be named a free mage which entitled him to the full title of mage and therefore declared him to the public to be sufficiently trained in magic so as not to be a danger to himself or others.

Yzbihn would then offer his magical services to those who could pay be it healing crops or farm animals or scrying for nobles. This was until Yzbihn found himself in the service of the family and his future friend and lover, Calendraus.
