Here's my favorite engine on Sodor - Montague, otherwise known as Duck, the Great Western engine!
The 57xx pannier tank engine - named for its water tanks mounted on the sides of the boiler, like pannier luggage - has become one of my favorite non-US steam locomotives. That distinct shape gives it a very proud and professional look. Rev. Awdry must have felt that way as well, given Duck's pride in being a hard-working engine.
Unlike Thomas, I haven't made a face for him yet, but that's for another day. And as neat as the smaller ones are, I think I much prefer the larger ones. Not only do the wheels and drive rods move freely (i.e. more "play" to them), but they print better and are easier to paint. Maybe in the future if/when I delve into resin printing...but still, I'm having way too much fun with this printer. :)
