We are back at our Base amp and just filed our new findings regarding the plants away. Atubah is conducting some further studies on the plant samples with her team to see if she can figure out a little bit more.
The atmosphere at camp is...somewhat tenser then when we left on our small estra expedition. I heard from several sources that they heard some weird sounds in the surrounding area during the evening and night, and
Captain Kaneko has apparently been in hot debates with Mr.Blackchurch about possibly moving camp to somewhere that is not ´breeding grounds for a weird mutant plant´ . Blackchurch is of course in favor of staying because ´his employer is actively funding the whole exploration to find new specimens for their own research, and who she thinks actually makes the choices here´. he is such a...pleasant man. But as much as I hate to admit...I am in favor of Mr.Blackchurches point of staying. not for his reasons, of course, but because we need to do more research on the plant and area before we can even come to the conclusion that there is any actual danger coming from any of this.
I...might even have an explenation for what the things that went bump in the night where. on our way back we almost ran over a so called Bloodpup, which bounded in front of our vehicle and ran into the bushes.
Bloodpups are....I wont sugarcoat it, not the most safe creatures to be around when exploring in small groups, but since we are quite afew people with loud machines...chances are they will leave us well alone. These creatures with their charming names are blind carnivores that find their prey via scent detecting membranes along their necks, which are, as far as we know, one of the best ´noses´ in our animal kingdom. that and being able to sense vibrations and heat make them really efficient hunters. adults grow op to 3.5 feet tall and can overwhelm prey twice their size easily, due to their highly robust build and thick skin. they hunt in coordinated packs and communicate in shrill shieks and grunts. They feeding and hunting habits are...unapetizing. they make sure to try and latch onto their preys arteries with their extendable jaws, with their hook like first 4 teeth acting as further grappling devices, and inject them with a blood thinning and very slightly corrosive toxin. and then they...start to drink. its not pretty. We instruckted everyone to stay together in groups of at least 5 people if they are to leave camp for whatever reason.
Luckily these creatures dislike cities or settlements and stick to deep forests or swamps, so it is unlikely for anyone who stays on the beaten path to stumble upon them. Never the less they are one of the few animals that are categorically classified as ´maneaters´,meaning they are
definetly dangerous towards us, but again, safety in numbers should hopefully be enough to deter them from causing too much trouble.
I´ll see if I can find out if we came to an agreement if we will stay or move on for now.
one more thing that is a little peculiar. Marie pulled me aside to tell me that she stayd in contact with the pilot who picked up Mr.Clarke a few days ago. last thing she heard they where close to landing in -redacted- but the connection cut, which she chalked up to regullar interferrence.
however, since then she was not able to contact the aircraft again, and, much more unnervingly, when she tried to contact the hospital he was to be treated at, they simply told her that he would arrive there shortly, but refused to answer her questions any further.
This is really really strange, but for now I told her to keep her head low and wait a little bit. could just be that they stick to not giving out personal information. still...odd.

Once purchased, the character and pattern/design of this specific creature/character
gives you basic rights to them, which means you may do the following with them:
-Use them as your own character, meaning giving any name, gender, or backstory you please.
-Alter the picture as you see fit
-resell or trade them, all though I would highly appreceate it if you would not resell them for more than you bought them.
except of course if you did additional art for the character you sell with them
-Post their picture as many times and wherever you may please. Crediting me as their creator is greatly appreciated, but not nescecarry.
- you may not use them commercially (i.e. on tshirts, as a character for a movie/tv show/ game/ commercialized comic). Licenses for these uses can be purchased. please note me if interested
-I will provide you with a transparent image of the picked creature once payment is made
