This planet has paid all its protection fees on time and they’ve even thrown in the occasional tip, much to Carmine’s consternation. That means he is actually obligated to protect their world from all threats. They may have been facing a world ending threat, but it’s a pretty boring affair for Carmine.

It may be boring, but at least he has the satisfaction of a job well done…
