Hey y'all, don't forget that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
Oops has been slowly climbing in the ranks, and closed out last month at 72nd place and a little less than 1000 votes I think. On checking a few minutes ago they were at 334 votes and 69th place. The top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes. Jump in there and I'll bet we can beat last month!
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

Flashbacks..whuff. Been there. Never had martial combat experience. My fights were always with firearms and explosives. Still, that's not a fun way to be. Hopefully his is only a vision, not a full body memory. (Those are the ones that cause us to do bad things to our loved ones and not even know it)
Man, makes me wonder if PTSD is worse with melee or modern/firearms. The modern experience might be less visceral than an enemy right up in your face trying to move a blade into your body, but it's also louder and more jarring, and the bangs leave an unfortunately common trigger in life after the battle.
It honestly varies with the individual.
For those of us caught in explosions and seen horrific combat. Certain smells, can trigger us (Burning living flesh, in my case) it turns my stomach and I feel my senses going hyper alert and hard a hard time not trying to crouch low and attack the closest person next to me. I'm getting better but, it's been ten years and I still get the occasional flash.
For Elim, his triggers could be equally jarring. Maybe every time he feels an ache in his hand he remembers that fight because that's what caused it. The stressed pain in his wrist as he used his mace (And was lucky the handle held) against the sword. Could have tweaked his wrist permanently.
Only one who knows is you (He's your creation) but, his pain. That feels real. I've seen some gory things. Because if there's one thing mortal men are REALLY good at. It's killing one another. While I've never had to resort to hand to hand. I am trained. I'd almost argue his is worse. As his entire body, has likely memorized every traumatic moment of combat. Every ache from a blow. The feeling of a weapon catching another blade or flesh.

Clearly those ivenmoths in first few panels are the crucial crux to understanding the entire story, and thus I must spend countless hours, days, and weeks finding out the secret meaning behind them.
Also, Elim looks so humble resting there with his hands clasped together; I wonder how those flashbacks make him feel.
