This shot was taken up the hill from an earlier photo I uploaded; the Basketball Hall. The camp where we were staying was an old military barracks. I guess the Basketball hall was an old mess hall or something. This is an abandoned powder shed; used for the storage of munitions during World War II. Albany is a fantastic natural, deep water port and was used pretty heavily during the War for subs and ships, stopping in on their way up to Fremantle and into the Pacific. The town itself was set up as a whaling port quite early on and established itself into a decent township, that managed to live on past the ban on whaling (The wrecked ship in the background is an old whaling vessel left abandoned). This shot was taken with a wide angle lens and it worked pretty well; I think this was one of my first wide angle shots and it's one of my favourites.
