A year ago, during Art Fight 2021, I received a piece of art from McArthur that I adored and revenged as soon as I could! Shortly after that exchange we ended up messaging each other and talking on discord. I am so grateful that we decided to keep in touch because I feel I have benefited so much from having McArthur in my life since that day.
McArthur you are so positive and kind QwQ I really appreciate our talks on discord. Sometimes I feel like I bombard you with silly story ideas XD and yet you listen to them and offer me really good feedback every time. You are also a brilliant artist! You find clever solutions to problems and add so much detail and humor and or intensity to your illustrations. And I need to compliment your characters specifically! They are so expressive! They feel like real people, interesting people too! Like the kind I would love to meet in real life if I could XD
That's why I wanted to draw and animate Jane and Rita like this. I imagine it takes place after a grand adventure. The ship docks on a quiet planet, with breathable atmosphere and trails that can be traversed by a simple all terrain vehicle. Jane is filled with wide eyed optimism. She looks at the stars like each one is reachable and worth striving for. Rita meanwhile is more relaxed. She's faced hardship, but every trial she endured was worth pushing through so she could share moments like this with the people she cares about. A shooting star flashes across the sky and both vulneks are surprised and charmed by it.
Lets be like these two. We might not be space smugglers ourselves, but I'm sure we will both experience some insane things in our lives. Regardless, lets keep talking and keep appreciating each other's company QwQ

This was definitely my most ambitious animation yet with it's two characters, detailed background, and layered movements :'D I still have some ideas for attacks, and started making a few of them, but I'm also going to start posting revenges too.
