Yah, Silver is back in the past trying to fix the future, and has a mentor-ward relationship with Shadow. Thanks to the wonders of Time Travel, even though six years have passed for us, Silver has only aged by two years (six months of them in the past), so he is 16 while Sonic is 21... In this comic, Sonic, Silver and Shadow remember the events of Sonic 06 thanks to time travel immunity but have never discussed it because it's too goddamn confusing.

For the askers, the reason Knuckles is doing this is partly because living alone is driving him crazy, but he HAS had feelings for Amy Rose for a long while. These things have been explained and will be further explained. And there will be more violent and graphic knuxamy, just not this chapter.
