Cathode has completed building his MP5 using a stamped receiver flat from HK PARTS.
Most parts are American made clones due to the absurd price for original German parts. Barrel, Trunnion and Bolt carrier group are from PTR, receiver flat and trigger pack are from HKparts, and the trigger housing is made in Malaysia. The total cost for the build was $1000.
An insane amount of work was involved: pressing, bending, welding, turning, headspacing, drilling, pinning, dremelling and painting. The product came out great. This is his proudest metallic build yet.
